FDNY rescues baby from 4 alarm Upper East Side fire
Saturday May 2nd, 2020- A fire started just after noon in the basement of 423 East 70 Street on Manhattan's Upper East Side. Companies immediately engaged in an aggressive interior attack when they discovered the fire was in the walls & floor boards extending upwards.
While evacuating residents on the floors above, Tower Ladder 13 assisted a family including a baby down via the bucket. No major injuries were reported, only 3 minor. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
