A review of Doug Lemov's book "Teacher's Mastery. Proven methods of outstanding teachers"

This book is from the leading publishing house "Mann, Ivanov and Ferber" — "The skill of a teacher. Proven methods of outstanding teachers" by Doug Lemov.
To begin with, Doug Lemov's book "The Mastery of the Teacher" is perceived ambiguously by me. Despite the abundance of useful information, well-structured and presented in pedantically correct language, the book is literally saturated with an "imperative" style of storytelling.
Of course, it would be possible to blame everything on the translator, saying that "she did not feel the general spirit of the book and shifted the emphasis," but the ambush here is that Doug Lemov expresses himself the way he teaches to express himself in his book – that's such a consistent author. At least, the book "From Knowledge to Skills", which came out from his pen, is full of the same "mentoring style".
Well, I think everyone has experienced this in their lives! Think of a teacher (or someone who claims to be) who, as soon as he opens his mouth and starts teaching you something, immediately turns into a perfect, infallible supreme being (from his/her point of view), and you automatically become a "child" with obvious problems with... mmm...learning ability (again, from his/her point of view and already your suspicions about this). But I think such little things can be omitted when evaluating the contents of a book. Moreover, in this case it is better to start with the name.
In the Russian version, Doug Lemov's new book was published under a different title, but the original title is slightly different, "Teach like a champion. 49 Techniques that put students on the Path to college». Well, from my point of view, roughly translated, the name sounds like "Teach like a champion. 49 techniques that will get your students into college."
Well, yes. This is my free adapted translation. And anyone can translate it however they want and as far as their knowledge of English allows.
Doug Lemov "The Teacher's Skill"
Let's get back to the book, though.
The most striking thing is that the original name, like all the selling names of Western "guru stars", is catchy but aggressive. And in some incomprehensible way, he approaches the dynamics of the narrative with a huge stretch. But the Russian version of "Teacher's Skill" turned out to be just right. There is thoroughness and consistency, no jerks and deviations from plans, everything is thought out, carefully and any possibility of error is excluded.
The book contains 49 techniques that can and should be used in daily practice (plus a few additional bonuses), as advised by foreign master teachers (according to Doug Lemov). Yes, the book convincingly presents all the arguments why these techniques are useful for school students. And yes, it's also clearly proven how, after such a drill... hmmm..... training... hmmm... training school graduates easily get into college.
But, damn it! Do SUCH teachers really exist in the world? If so, I will definitely not be able to resist and exclaim, "That's what you are ... a mysterious reindeer!".
First of all, I'm not sure if anyone in the world uses all 49 techniques to teach babies.
Secondly, I'm not sure if these techniques will work for children over the age of 10. Yes, survey techniques and explanations will appeal to everyone involved in teaching, regardless of the age of their students. And I will say more, some techniques can also be used by those who have a very distant relationship to teaching, but for whom it is very important that their orders are carried out quickly, clearly and without unnecessary conversations.
Third. I have not seen such personality requirements in any of the books on personal growth.
Probably, for a teacher, over time, it becomes simply painful to lose control of at least something in his life. So let's not be too strict with those who strive for perfection.
