incident feed, details, and chat
The incident feed is where you will find all incidents pertaining to your customized jurisdiction (see below for instructions to set up). You can now tune into our news feed, where we provide content related to the fire service, equipment, apparatus, breaking news, training, and more. On the right, top-hand corner you'll find our radio scanners where you can listen in real time to your choice of frequencies. Users also have the option to expand the map to full screen, and "refresh" the feed to make sure you're up to date. Lastly, the incident details page where you'll see specific incident details, where you can like, and contribute to the comments section with updates and photos.
feed areas, custom notifications, and scanners
Setting up your feed area is simple - simply navigate to the "hamburger" menu in the top left of the home (incident) page, select "Feed Areas'' and select the jurisdiction(s) you'd like to follow. Note - in order to see the incidents on your map as well as listen to the scanner feeds, you must select your feed areas, otherwise they will not appear. Following your feed areas, you can enable custom notifications, based on geographic area or unit-specific (Note: depending on your locality - you may have the option to choose either specific units, or a responding department. As we scale, these options will change). Lastly, to listen to a live scanner, select your frequency - and wait to hear the tones!
ATTENTION: We are always looking to expand both our geographic coverage as well as radio feeds! Reach Out to find out how we can cover your area, or become a contributor! We are always looking for new radio broadcasters to broaden our capabilities!
